I think I've managed to create a pretty good "pipeline" of sorts for creating good fake/AI images.

Firstly, you need a base image. This can be AI generated (just put a prompt for a hand or something) or be taken from a real image. For this example, I'll use this random pic from Reddit. Linked here- https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https% ... dd24059953.

Now, in order to create the illusion of long nail beds you can go to photoshop or photopea (free online photoshop) and use the "patch" tool. You set up the patch in a semi-oval shape including the cuticle at the center, part of the nailbed on one end and the skin on the other end as demonstrated on the image attached. At that point, you pull the mouse towards the free edge (as shown in the pic with red arrow) and the nail bed will become longer. You have to be careful not to let the bed touch the edges of your patch tool area, or it will look weird. Also, doing this in small increments by dragging, stopping and dragging again tends to produce better results.

Keep in mind that there are still some issues. Namely, a lot of the hangnails and skin on the side of the nail bed can repeat multiple times if you patch too much, which makes the image look fake. However, you can mostly get rid of these by patching them out with regular skin, as long as they are small.


Now, this is where AI can come in. Now, just know that you cannot really use AI to make nail beds longer, since they seemingly do not know what nail beds are (which is why you have to use photoshop w/ the patch tool).

Also, on another note, I'm using Nano Banana image gen to do this stuff, which can be accessed for free over here- https://websim.com/@Trey6383/free-ai-stuff. I do not know how good other AI models are.

At this point, you can prompt the AI to make the nails longer-

I noticed that it tends to get rid of repeating hang nails and such if you tell it to "fix any editing errors".

Can prompt it to paint the nails, or even change the angle of the hand (might require fine-tuning and specific instructions). Keep in mind, I've sometimes noticed that the AI likes to shorten the nail bed if you tell it to work on a picture with really long nail beds. So you might need to also patch the image AFTER the AI prompt.
