Me too, I really dislike those new "overcrowded" styles. But I do like to have one small nail piercing. Only one, on one hand only. I used to have a little heart some years ago.
Yes, curved nails are solid and they have a bit of thickness. They never broke as far as I can remember.
Regarding french nails, I checked those you mentioned. I had in mind something like that, just a bit longer. Maybe adding a very slight layer of pearly transparent polish. I also like those french styles where the area between the white tip and the pink acrylic has a V shape, or a double V. Anyways, there are many very beautiful french styles I can do in the future. All very simple and elegant. One of the reasons I love french and red nails is that you can match them with basically any style and/or color of clothing. Red nails look elegant when wearing black or grey clothes, while wearing white they have a tender and sweet feeling to it. I don't really know how to describe it.. Depending on what you wear, the general "feel" changes completely.
Anyway, I'm really glad to hear your opinions and ideas.
Since you like very dark nails, I wanna show you what this brown color truly looks like. It's really really really dark. I took this photo today. I hope you like it.

Actually, I LOVE pierced nails, especially when used right, it gives such a punk edge to the nails depending on the set. Yes! I agree completely. the simplicity of styles like french tip goes with a lot of outfits and colors. V shaped french tips look more sharper and deadly! I support your taste in nail styles. Such a lovely image thank you for sharing that shade of brown is so elegant and mature. the brown set you have goes well with your Maroon colored jacket. What was your favorite set you ever had? how do people respond to your nails in public, do you receive compliments?

By V shape I didn't mean pointed nails (those I had in the past). What I meant is that the line between the white and the pink/nude part of french nails has a V. Or two Vs.
That coat is really nothing much, I only wear it if I go out a few minutes to buy something. I certainly don't wear it if I want to look prettier. And by the way I have to wash it, haha.
What was my favourite set? That's a very difficult question. I'll have to think about it, but my friend is flying in today to visit me and I haven't seen her in years, so I'll reply in a few days..
In public, I do receive compliments now and then. What people think about them, well, is of course very subjective I guess. Feelings tend to be very polarized. There's no real middle ground for this. At least in my experience. Some people hate the idea of very long nails. Other people find them absolutely stunning. Some people just stare without saying anything.
The main reason that I have long nails is that I simply love them, always had, even when I was little. And i love the feeling. So, it's mainly about myself. But I won't deny there's another thing as well. There's no polite way to put this: if I want to be completely honest, I must say that I love the idea of people fantasizing about my nails, especially if they are complete strangers.

PS: thanks for the edits, this way I can have some idea about the look of different colors to choose in the near future.

Ah I understand now thanks for the clarification for the v shape! yeah long nails are very polarizing. I understand when people choose to not get long nails for themselves or even if they don't think long nails are attractive but I hate when I see someone growing their nails out online and comments are filled with negative people telling the nail grower that their nails are too long or disgusting. It upsets me when people discourage others from growing their nails to their full potential! I hope you enjoy your friend's visit! and I'm sure plenty of people fantasize about your nails, I feel like there are a lot of nail lovers out there who aren't vocal about their likes and interest in nails. Im glad people like you find pride in their nails too, its just a valid of a feature as having pretty eyes or a pretty smile.

Some people are just very rude.
Anyways, thanks, I need to go pick her up now.

I'm fine, thank you. Congratulations for your graduation, and for the stiletto professor.
Actually I posted lots of photos of my nails some months ago, pink, gold glitter, red etc. But because no one here ever says anything, nor comments, it was so frustrating that after a week or so I removed everything.

Beautiful nails and color! There is very little traffic on this board compared to the old NailBytes board from years ago. Most of the interaction has moved to either Instagram or Facebook. Maybe, you should consider posting to Instagram as well, if you aren't already doing so.

Take care and hope to see more from you in the future!

Thank you. I don't use those, I'm not much of an Internet person. I used to use Facebook but just for normal things. I only decided to take some photos of my nails last year, I think. All of a sudden one day I took a few pics, and posted them, since I knew some people like women with very long nails.
