World travelers: what country has the prettiest nails?
Hi asking for anyone who is world traveled. what country or countries has the best nails? I would imagine it would vary based on what defines good nails. I also wonder which country has the largest amount of nail salons and which countries have a larger population of long nail women.

Great question. I look forward to reading this thread.
I would suggest that it would be better to name specific cities or regions rather than try to generalize an entire country, unless it's a small one.

I've never been to Israel but I know Jewish girls are noted for hot nails.
There were plenty of them in the USA that I encountered as a young man but the cultural divide back then was real and difficult.

I’m Jewish and I’m sad to say that this no longer seems to be the case, at least in my part of the country (NYC). I do remember a time when I was young that more Jewish girls had long acrylic nails, but unfortunately I almost never encounter that any more. Most Jewish women I know keep their nails short and polished.
Around here, I’m much more likely to encounter long acrylic nails on latina women.

Clearly, for all of us here, this is something we can't help but notice when traveling. I was delightfully surprised when spending time in London. Also, just because there are nail salons in a particular country, sometimes it means they are nails/aesthetics/hair combined like in France, where i found short polished nails to be the current style. Germany has some great cities for nails. The Caribbean is great too, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, and touristy, affluent areas of Mexico. Portugal was ok but has a growing number of Vietnamese salons. Italy nail salons are very pricey for locals.

I've found that the major factor in the diminished probability of finding attrtactive young women with long natural nails is the ubiquitous availability and decline in the cost of fakes, which permits women of more modest means to take the low-road vs looking after naturals. For example, a couple decades ago long (even 2-3cm or more) natural nails were commonplace amongst young women in Thailand; nowadays however fakes are the norm. Sadly the same can be said for Eastern Europe and the Slavic nations. Of course if one is equally aroused by the sight of prosthetic nails then it's a non-issue. At this point in time from what I'm seeing one is as likely to encounter the rare natural LNB in the UK, EU and N.America as anywhere else.

If you find the prevalence of artificial nails not to your taste, feel free to grow your own natural nails out. Then you can tell us all just how easy that is.

That's how it is nowadays, women are required to join the work force when compared to the 20's, maintaining natural nails and working at the same time takes alot of effort... I'd imagine that if one nail chips of they'll be encourage to cut or file the rest down to keep them at the same length
Long fingernails are fashion now a days and I'm pretty sure if women had naturally strong, unchippable fingernails and that doesn't hurt when the accidentaly bend against the nailbed, long natural fingernails would be a norm.

recently with the ban of Tik Tok, many users migrated to Chinese app "Red Note" or Xiaohongshu I got to see this first hand. so many users had natural long and healthy nails. so I wouldn't be surprised if this was true.
