**Lady Deathstrike's Movie Design vs. Comic Look: Why I Actually Prefer the X2 Redesign**
I’ve been rewatching *X2: X-Men United* and couldn’t help but notice how much I still love Lady Deathstrike’s design in the movie. While it’s not a perfectly accurate adaptation of her comic appearance, I actually prefer some of the changes they made for the film.
One of the biggest differences is how her claws are portrayed. In the comics, her claws often look like an extension of her fingers since they’re the same color as her skin, which makes them feel more like elongated fingers than actual claws or weapons. However, in *X2*, her claws are a distinct metallic silver that really stands out against her skin. It makes them look much more like deadly weapons rather than just part of her hands, which I think is a great visual distinction. Plus, the fact that her claws emerge like fingernails rather than entire elongated fingers adds a cool, more grounded touch.
Also, can we talk about that silver nail polish? It ties her whole look together perfectly! It gives her this sleek, almost elegant yet deadly appearance. I feel like this detail really highlights her transformation and her deadly abilities.
Even though it’s not a one-to-one comic adaptation, Lady Deathstrike’s *X2* design has aged really well, and looking back on it today, it definitely hits a nostalgic note for me. The movie might take liberties, but it’s a solid take that I’ve grown to appreciate over the years. What do you all think?

Hi, I personally prefer the comics version, I love this concept, long endly pointy fingertips instead of nails, sometimes depends on the drawing or the character looks like nails and fingers are the same thing, fingers without nails with this shape are super hot for me!

I like the design on characters in simpler art styles because in I interpret them as long nails, like raven from teen titans go have these pointed finger tips.
