When it comes to Long Nails.
Is Shape Important?
what shape you like the Nails?
Do you like them Polished or Colored
or just Plain Natural Unpolished.
How long you like them? half inch, 3/4 inch. 1 inch, 1 inch and half, 2 inches, or longer.
Real Nails or Fake Nails?
I love Long Natural Nails, in a rounded shaped, a little pointy but not too pointy either.
1inch to 2 inches long, after that I find it's too long .
I also love long natural nails with a natural curve in the nails.
a site with good nails, nailslong.com has Nice Nails over there too.
Let's Talk about Long Nails
Re: Let's Talk about Long Nails
Only natural, prefer unvarnished or clear, square or rounded corners (don't care for pointed), any length from about 0,5 on provided they're "usable" and don't twist. Don't care for Guiness-book-record length or fat fingers or gnarled geriatric-looking hands. And must be female for me.

Re: Let's Talk about Long Nails
I like them natural and unpolished, with rounded edges, tapered to the tip, and a slight natural curve, but not too much, or they start looking like animal talons.
I don't like manicures, or any treatment to the nails that makes them look modern or trendy.
Nail polish is ok, as long as it's a traditional shade of red or pink (no black, orange, yellow, green, blue, florescent, etc.) And, please, no 'designs' or patterns on the nails, as they're a total turn off. Same goes for studs, diamonds, etc. Yuck!
Length should be no more than about 1/2"-3/4" from the tip of the finger. Anything longer than that and they start to look caricatured.
The fingers should be slender and long and the hands graceful. Short, stubby, masculine fingers makes even the best nails look bad.
Finally, I like fingernails that appear as if they're grown for self-defense, not aesthetics. I don't like thin or weak-looking fingernails. I want them looking sharp and strong, like they could inflict a lot of damage, if unleashed as weapons.

Her nails and hands look hot, but her face, not so much. Maybe it's because she's wearing no fakeup.

Amen to that. Gentle, soft, feminine hands with natural, sharp nails are the best.

Re: Let's Talk about Long Nails
Hi all!
As a new member to the forum I thought this thread would be a good start to introduce myself a bit.
I'm past the age of 40 now and I've had this fetish for long female fingernails (painted) since the age of 11 I think. For me it started with ads in newspapers or commercials on TV. Later, my interest grew stronger about long and beautiful female nails and now my eyes automatically scan for women's fingernails, in stores, at work on the bus and so on. For me, there is a tingling sensation in my body and excitement to look for painted nails in the everyday life and I just love the feeling when the perfect nails appear. For example, when I go shopping in a store, I always choose the line that leads to a female cashier just to hope to get hopefully long painted nails. Most of the time there´s no luck. But the feeling when they appear! Wow!
I have a fiancee who knows all about my fetish for long, painted nails. I am very lucky because she grows her nails for me (she didn't have long nails when we met 10 years ago) Although her nails are completely natural, she goes to the nail salon once a month to strengthen them to minimize the risk of them breaking. In my opinion, she keeps them at the perfect length. The only complaint I have is that she doesn't paint her nails as often as I wish she would. But for special occasions she does. Like Christmas and other holidays, my birthday, if we go out and travel etc. Maybe about 6 times a year. Usually she wears the nail polish for 2, sometimes 3 weeks and applies new nail polish during that time to solve the chipping problem and to keep my nails in perfect condition for me.
She's perfectly fine with me constantly scanning my surroundings for other women's painted nails. I can never seem to get enough. She might even say "what do you think of her nails?" if she also sees other women's nails (she knows I've already seen them).
So, to round off my first post on the forum and my attempt to introduce myself a bit, I'm going to answer the questions posed by the thread starter:
Is Shape Important?
- Yes.
What shape you like the Nails?
- Almond (as my fiancee) or Ballerina.
Do you like them Polished or Colored
- Yes absolutly colored. Long natural nails that are unpainted is somewhat a "waste".
How long you like them? half inch, 3/4 inch. 1 inch, 1 inch and half, 2 inches, or longer.
- Half inch / 1-1,5 cm
Real Nails or Fake Nails?
- Real Nails for sure!

Re: Let's Talk about Long Nails
Is Shape Important? YES, all shapes are made equal, it depends on hand shape etc.
what shape you like the Nails? depends on the hand but typically stiletto or almond
Do you like them Polished or Colored? polished if there's acrylic but if the nail is natural I prefer no polish
How long you like them? typically around 1 to 2 inches
Real Nails or Fake Nails? real but I still like fake nails

Re: Let's Talk about Long Nails
for me, real or fake, as long as the nails look well maintained, loved, looked after. I have seen some fake nails look absolutely amazing, and 1 inch naturals that look horrid. Don't mind acrylic overlays, gel, infact i love thick nails as they look almost unbreakable when covered/protected with acrylic. Not a fan of extremely thin nails. And the sound that acrylic nails make is unmatched.
Minimum length is 1/2 inch, no maximum, though for me the "goldilocks" length is between 1 1/2 inch to 4 inches but do love extreme lengths
Slight to medium curve depending on the length. Do not like the modern "chopstick" straight nails, nails must have a curve of some sort.
Prefer square or sqoval. Coffin shape is ok and flared/duckbill but depends on the length and final width. Not a huge fan of the modern stillettos as it is everywhere and can look quite boring and unnatural specially when the nail is les than 1/2 inch long.
All nails must be uniform in length, shape and curve, and definitely no chipped nail polish.
Prefer nails to be painted/polished, and also all ten nails in the same color. If unpolished then definitely a shiny clear coat (or 2) needs to be added.
Not a fan of matte polishes but definitely prefer super shiny and glistening nail polish.
Minimal nail art is ok, but prefer no nail art.
