There is a "new" anime series that looks promising: Sono Bisuku Dōru wa Koi o Suru ("My Dress-Up Darling" in English). The main character "Marin" likes to wear her nails long, and they show up frequently.

You can watch the official trailer here on YouTube. So far there are only two episodes with a third one coming soon. Here's hoping the series stays popular enough for them to animate the fifth book.

This is completely new to me. I have never really been into Anime/Manga. I know there's great potential there, many obsessions and unusual and even extreme behaviors are portrayed this way. Still waiting for one that will tackle the super-long nail obsession more consistently.
