Athletics used to be a great place to see long nails. Sprinters and hurdlers like Florence Griffith-Joyner, Gail Devers and Teresa Neighbors were often interviewed more about their nails than their running.
When these greats retired athletics lost some of its sparkle and recently even Gail Devers has cut her nails. See here: https://youtu.be/BudXruZbUGA
